Oregon Wine Warehouse

About The Oregon Wine Warehouse

On May 27, 2005, the Oregon Wine Warehouse opened as a wine tasting bar that offers top Oregon wines by the taste, glass and bottle, and small plates of wine-friendly food. Tasting flights, wine seminars, winemaker visits, and a live piano bar make our space a key location for Oregon wine lovers and wine tourists. We also host private events. Send us an e-mail.

The location combines our shipping and receiving operations with a wine shop that specializes in top Oregon wines – particularly in pinot noir. Thus the "Warehouse" in our name. Find out more about the Wine Club.

Bob WolfeAbout the Wine Guy

Robert Wolfe is owner of the Oregon Wine Warehouse and the Oregon Pinot Noir Club, the nation's most significant national retailer of Oregon Pinot Noir and other high-end Northwest wines. He is a former journalist and a prominent wine writer.

Wolfe has written extensively about fine dining and fine wine in The Wine Spectator, Food and Wine, Wine Tidings, The Northwest Palate, Washington Winestyle, and The Oregonian newspaper. From 1990-1993, he wrote a syndicated wine review column, and was an Associate Editor of the trade publication Wine Business Monthly. Wolfe has taught college wine classes, has served as a wine judge for several events, and gives presentations to wine groups and at corporate groups.

Wolfe grew up in a small Willamette Valley town near some of the earliest vineyards planted in Oregon. After a stint in the U.S. Navy operating a nuclear-powered submarine, Wolfe returned to Oregon to attend the University of Oregon School of Journalism.

While still a student, Wolfe published food and wine articles in The Oregonian, wrote an award-winning column on local politics, and contributed to Health Food Business and American Film. He has won awards from The Society of Professional Journalists for Investigative Writing, Feature Writing, and Column Writing, and was cited for excellence in investigative reporting by The Oregon Newspaper Editors Association.

Active in civic affairs, Wolfe has served as President of the Board of Directors of Open Adoption and Family Services, the Northwest's largest adoption agency. He enjoys helicopter skiing, speaks French, and holds a black belt in Wado Ryu karate.
